Rested Body, Strong Mind

Virtual Yoga & Meditation classes

Practices to support your body, mind, and nervous system

At Rested Body, Strong Mind, we bring together the art of ancient practices and the science of modern research. Through yoga, meditation, therapeutic coping skills, and nervous system science, we offer simple yet powerful ways to calm stress, regulate emotions, and restore balance in the body and mind.

Here, rest is not idleness but a vital function of health, nourishing your nervous system, supporting mental wellbeing, and grounding you in presence. At the same time, we gently strengthen resilience, expanding your capacity to meet life’s challenges with steadiness and adaptability.

These practices invite you to soften, reset, and grow, finding both restoration and resilience, so you can return to life with more clarity, energy, and ease.

Our Virtual Classes

  • Reclaiming Rest

An embodied downregulating class for deep restoration and recalibration.

This trauma-informed class is designed to support the parasympathetic nervous system through gentle movement, restorative yoga, breathwork, and guided meditation. With an emphasis on somatic awareness, it invites your body into safety, softness, and stillness.

Perfect for those experiencing stress, fatigue, pain, or simply needing to slow down and reconnect with themselves.

  • Rhythms of Resilience

A capacity-building class to gently expand your stress tolerance.

Through an intentional cycle of movement and rest, this class uses safe, supported challenge to strengthen your nervous system’s ability to experience stress and recover.

We practice building resilience through mindful movement, breath, and body-based awareness, helping to create more space in your window of tolerance and deepen your trust in your body’s wisdom.

About Me

Sawil Ghorany (Se-ville) She/Her

Yoga & Meditation Instructor, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), MA in Counselling Psychology (Candidate)

I am committed to creating spaces of safety, self-compassion, curiosity, and self-discovery. Holding a person-centered, trauma-informed lens, I bring a unique blend of nervous system education, somatic awareness, and contemplative practice into my classes.

Living as a deeply sensitive person in a world that often values achievement over emotional expression, I found myself “winning” by all external measures, career, income, and status, yet losing the one that mattered most: my lived experience. I was disconnected, numb, and ultimately burnt out. I knew this could not be all there was. That realization ignited my dedication to exploring yoga, meditation, and mental health, not just as ideas, but as practices of coming home to myself.

Trained in Northern India where I studied meditation in a Tibetan community and completed my yoga teacher training, I draw from both ancient wisdom and modern science, including mindfulness, polyvagal theory, trauma research, and the mind-body connection. Having assisted in mindfulness research for mental health, I integrate this understanding to support nervous system regulation, chronic stress, trauma recovery, and mental wellbeing.

My classes are gentle, invitational, and grounding, encouraging students to move at their own pace, listen inward, and meet themselves with compassion in each breath and shape. Whether exploring stillness or flow, I invite presence, softness, and a deepening relationship with the body and self.
